Mary Chapman, Registered Driver "I keep
looking for you riders..."
Parker Sims, Registered Rider and Drake student
"It worked fine for me. I got a ride to Drake very easily
and with no hassles."
Breeze Kinsey, Registered Rider and Lagunitas School 7th grader
"It_s a great system. I use GO GERONIMO when my bike tire
is flat or when my parents won_t give me a ride."
Laurel Marinelli, Registered Driver
"I just gave a ride to my first rider and hope I get some
more soon."
Ann Jones, Registered Driver
"GO GERONIMO reinforces our sense of community and gives
the community a chance to respond to and take care of our children.
I wish this had been going on in the 70_s when my kids could have
benefitted from being able to get out of and back into the Valley
safely. When parents support this program , they support children
having safe transportation."
Debbie Hubsmith, Registered Rider
"When waiting on the street holding my laminate, I feel as
if I_m part of club that believes in community and sustainability.
Riding the GO GERONIMO Reg is fun. I_ve gotten over 50 rides so
far; many from people who I know, and several from neighbors who
I met during the ride. GO GERONIMO gives me freedom without having
to own a car. "
Jean Kinsey, Registered Driver*
"GO GERONIMO is rolling along and it works! I got a ride
today in about two minutes. I had taken my car to be fixed, so
I bused from San Rafael to Fairfax and then GO GERONIMOed home."
* Note: Registered Drivers are also able to use their laminates
as Registered Riders.
Andreas Olesen, Registered Rider and Drake student
"My parents won_t let me hitch, so GO GERONIMO makes things
a lot easier. I use my laminate two to three times each week to
get home from work. I always know that I_m going to get a ride.
I folded my laminate four times so it would fit in my wallet.
Without this program I probably wouldn_t be able to have my job."

VALLEY TRAIL RESTORATION ON JANUARY 24TH
There_s a short trail along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard which is used by school children and others to hike or bike from the Cultural Center and School to San Geronimo Valley Drive. In recent years, the trail, which receives no maintenance, has become partially overgrown with ivy, poison oak, and blackberries. Join GO GERONIMO at the Cultural Center at 9:30 am on Saturday, January 24th and spend a couple of hours restoring this important path, which provides a safe alternative to the highway shoulder. For more information, please call Brent Harris at 488-9068.
